using lexile to find books

receiving a lot of feedback on wanting to read books but not knowing where to find.

a good first stop would be using the "Lexile" measures which we used last year. (the long quizzes we took in the computer lab).

if you know your own lexile measure then you can go ahead and put it in. but if you don't then the appropriate grade levels would be as follows:

8th Grade Ages 13-14: Secondary 1
9th Grade Ages 14-15: Secondary 2
10th Grade Ages 15-16: Secondary 3
11th Grade Ages 16-17: Secondary 4

after which you would at least select "i find the books i read for school just right" or "i find the books i read for school easy".

after that step it would be selecting what categories you like and the book list will follow. hope it helps.
